team of the Wireless Networks Lab received a triple award from an industrial partner.

On December 24, 2025, the team of the Wireless Networks Lab of IITP RAS received a triple award from an industrial partner – a well-known manufacturer of telecommunications equipment. The customer highly praised the results of two projects and, in addition, recognized the team as its strategic partner.

As part of one of the projects, the team of the Wireless Networks Lab of IITP RAS has developed a data transmission control algorithm for dense 5G-Advanced networks. The key objective of the project is to ensure high data transfer speed to users while simultaneously eliminating mutual interference.

The project was both very challenging and extremely interesting. I would like to thank the entire team for their high level of engagement and well-coordinated work, which made it possible to achieve results that exceeded the customer’s expectations.

comments Artem Krasilov, Senior Researcher at the Wireless Networks Lab of IITP RAS and Project Lead

Within another project, the laboratory staff worked on accelerating neural network training in distributed data centers. Under modern conditions, neural network training can be performed in a distributed manner using multiple data centers. Large models training is performed in parallel in several data centers, and intensive data exchange is organized between them. The laboratory team devised a way to accelerate data exchange between geographically distributed data centers.

For us, this triple award is not just recognition of specific results, but an important confirmation that our chosen strategy is the right one. We see a dual effect here: on one hand, the fundamental research we conducted several years ago, supported by the Russian Science Foundation, the Mega Grant, and other Ministry of Science and Higher Education projects, gave us a deep understanding of the underlying processes. These insights then materialized into concrete, effective algorithms for our industrial partner. They stop being mere lines in a scientific paper and start working in real equipment, solving problems that seemed nearly insurmountable just yesterday. On the other hand, such a manufacturer not only sets a high technological benchmark but also, through their vision, helps us focus on the most relevant directions. I congratulate the entire laboratory team on this outstanding achievement. This is our collective success on the journey from scientific idea to industrial implementation!

says Evgeny Khorov, Head of the Wireless Networks Lab.
