Title: Research and development of methods for increasing the efficiency of multiservice traffic transmission in networks of low-power subscriber terminals based on high-throughput satellites on geostationary and highly elliptical orbits
Speaker: Gennady Sebekin, MIPT
Abstract: Optimization of multiservice traffic transmission in satellite communication networks is a pressing issue due to the limited capacity of spacecraft relay channels and the high cost of communication services compared to terrestrial networks. The report will examine the features of constructing analytical and simulation models for the operation of satellite networks of low-power subscriber terminals based on high-throughput satellites on geostationary and highly elliptical orbits, and will propose procedures for selecting solutions for resource planning and distribution.

Bio: Gennady Valerievich Sebekin has been working at the Scientific and Technical Center for Telecommunications of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT, Phystech) from 2018 to the present. He is conducting a dissertation research in a direction similar to the topic of the report and is a candidate for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences in the specialty 2.2.15 Telecommunication Systems, Networks and Devices. His scientific and practical interests include the management of satellite data transmission networks, satellite communication earth stations for stationary and mobile objects.
