WNL Members Win RSF Grant on Holographic MIMO

The results of the call for proposals for bilateral Joint Research Projects, held by the Russian Science Foundation (RSF) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) ahve been published. The project “Development of H-MIMO for future wireless communications” by the Wireless Networks Lab, led by Prof. Evgeny Khorov, has been supported. The project is dedicated to holographic MIMO systems (H-MIMO) and is aimed to increase the data transfer rate and expand the coverage area of ​​​​new-generation wireless networks using such systems.

Study on Encrypted Traffic Classification published in IEEE ACCESS

The paper “Early Traffic Classification With Encrypted ClientHello: A Multi-Country Study” written by the members of the Wireless Networks Lab Danil Shamsimukhametov, Anton Kurapov, Mikhail Liubogoshchev, and Evgeny Khorov has been published in a prestigious open access journal IEEE ACCESS. The published paper proposes a new traffic classification algorithm, which uses not only unencrypted TLS ECH parameters but also statistical features, such as packet sizes and inter-arrival times.
